Don't know how many of you knows the fact, but the latest Jonathan Boakes' game (famous of both
"Dream Fall" "DarkFall" games and a "Barrow Hill" one), "The Lost Crown" is made on WME. Highly recommendable! http://www.thelostcrown.com or http://www.thelostcrown.co.uk
(corrected the game name)

Just a few corrections. Jonathan Boakes is the author of DarkFall and Darkfall 2: Lights Out (not dreamfall). He heavily cooperated on Barrow Hill which is creation of Matthew Clark.
But I agree, TLC is very good game built with WME. It's available through http://www.interactcd.com/ with fast and reliable shipping. ;)

Of course, "Dark Fall"... don't know what came on me... :-)

Hi there. I worked on some elements for The Lost Crown, (some particles, and scripting), and can happily say the game is a super use of the Wintermute Engine, with some surprising elements. There's a trailer here, to look at: http://www.darklingroom.co.uk/thelostcrown/trailer.htm (http://www.darklingroom.co.uk/thelostcrown/trailer.htm)
The game is also about to have its full EU release, via Lighthouse Interactive, and Akella are publishing in ex-USSR. We can’t recommend the US version of the game, as the publisher tampered with the install files, dropping many intended features and documentation. A pity, but the EU version is going to make up for that. Details are on the website, http://www.thelostcrown.co.uk (http://www.thelostcrown.co.uk)

redfox: I got my copy through interact. Is it worth it playing european version as well or are those changes minor for one who already purchased US version?

I have already bought played and enjoyed TLC from USA. What do you mean with "dropping many intended features and documentation". Is it gameplay related?
-
I would love it if the Lost Crown author(s) could start making a set of clear step-by-step Wintermute introductory 2D tutorials, illustrated and with a few sample scripts. I'd gladly buy such, with PayPal, at £5 a time.
UPDATE: Ignore my rabblings... just found The Book... http://res.dead-code.org/doku.php/wmebook:start :-X

The game is the same, it's the installer which was...'re-branded', and dropped the accompanying 'making of', treasure map and introduction. The EU version sees those items reinstated.
