New Alpha Channel Support

I downloaded the new 012 build but I can't seem to figure out the alpha channel.
As far as I know TGA files do not support an alpha channel (at least not in any of the graphics programs I have).
What am I missing here?

TGA files *do* support the alpha channel. What program are you using? Both Photoshop and PaintShop Pro allow you to add/edit an alpha channel.

I have both proggies.  When I save as TGA in Photoshop, it grays out the alpha channel option.
I figured it out in PSP though.  Thanks!

BTW: Nice job on all of this!

Also note that the alpha effects are only available in accelerated mode and they are not supported on some old video cards which can only create 16bit textures (e.g. Voodoo2)
