In the scene editor, first select the correct layer by clicking on it (eg. for scene 'blackchamber' : select 'main'). Then select the node that you want (eg. 'background'). Then go to 'entity properties' : 'sprite'. On the right side of the input box, there are 3 dots. Click on that button and navigate to the correct image location (eg. 'scenes\BlackChamber\Artwork\BackgroundBlackChamber.png'). The image should now show up in the editor. Save.
Et voila!
 :)

Thank you for making your source files available to us. It's nice to be able to learn from other people's projects!

As for your question about the scene editor : I have only been using WME for a  few weeks, but one thing that comes to mind is : have you been changing your directory structure at all ? I mean, moving folders around and such ?
Once I point to the image/sprite again in the editor, it doesn't disappear on closing & reopening the editor... So, all seems to be fine... ???

Technical forum / scene editor zoom out ?
« on: February 22, 2014, 08:37:53 AM »
Hi guys,

I've noticed that when I load my images (1920x1080) into the scene editor, they don't quite fit (I have to scroll).
Is this normal, or can I zoom out to see them completely ?

Thanks !

Technical forum / wme.log : Maximum texture size ?
« on: February 20, 2014, 10:16:54 AM »
Hi guys,

A question : I have been preparing my background images at a resolution of 1920x1080. Everything in WME seems to be working fine. But the wme.log has this line : "Maximum texture size: 16384x16384".

Is this something I should be worried about ?

Thanks !

What kind of project are you working on ?
You seem to have some very different locations... (the last looks very nice & polished   :) )

I also wanted to say that your Facebook page showing the different steps for your image processing was interesting...
Do you uv-unwrap & export your textures in Blender, & then edit them in Gimp, or do you edit the rendered image from Blender ?

Well, it's a 1st person, so there wouldn't be an actor walking around...
But you are right : I did not think about image loading. Very good point !   8)
