Title: 3D Walk-cycle in Max
Post by: FogGobbler on March 09, 2007, 02:13:19 PM
Hi, guys!

I´ve got a question concerning 3d character animation. I´m using 3d max and i´ve downloaded a biped mocap file of a walking man from the internet. The character moves up and down and everything works fine in WME (looks great  ;D ).

The problem is that I want to somehow "pin" the character in max to one position, so that I can use the walking animation in WME  the animation since the model´s  movement is controlled by WME.

So how can I pin the character so that it walks on the spot, during the animation?

Greets,
Oli

I believe it has something to do with the bipid motion flow tools. Mess around with that and see what you find. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Found out how to solve this.

There´s an option called "in place" in the biped menu : > Motion panel > Biped rollout > Expand rollout > Modes group > In Place button on In Place flyout

This allows you to display biped motion as if it were occurring on a treadmill.
