Title: screenshot of my game

I create it using the brushes in photoshop (and a paper, and a pencil).

I'm very curious about your project, it seems to be quite unconventional. Did you say it's called "Dreams"?

Yes, it's called Dreams. I can't say much about the plot right now except that it will be inside a dream. So it's a dreamworld. That's why I didn't want the graphics to be the usual 3d, cartoon, hand make with clear lines... etc. The only problem is because the graphics are a little "dirty", the items are not very easily to found. As I have said before it's for a school project. The first demo with about 25 backgrounds and a few puzzles will be ready in one month. I will post more things (screenshots, the logo etc) in the next days...

I'm curious about the characters fitting in that background art... interesting!

Yes, I was wondering about that too.

Well, that makes us 3, 'cause I am wondering about that too! :) I haven't created the characters yet. I was scripting the game (eveything that I will need) and now I am creating the backgrounds. I guess that in one week I'll start working on the character.

Here is another picture of my game:
http://master.math.upatras.gr/~odnorf/02-1.png
(For people with REALLY slow connections like me, the picture is 760KB.)

It's the inside of a warehouse and "Yes" I know that it's really "dirty" and it's difficult to spot locations and things. I explained why in a previous post.

Feel free to tell that you "don't like it", "you hated it", "it makes you sick", "it killed your dog" or anything else...

I think we've got a revolutionary modern-art adventure game here ;)

Thanks... That's the best words I have heard until now... :)

PS. With this I have 100 posts... Did I earn a free drink or something? :)

Nope, but If you make one more post, you'll become a "Full Member". Ain't that better than a free drink?  ...ok, it isn't ;D

It is better... Because now that I am "full member" I have an excuse (not that I need one) to go out and celebrate it by drinking 15 drinks (not free but what can I do about this?)

LOL.

You know, it's said that all the game developers will become alcoholics one day, sooner or later... ;D

I have to add that also the game developer's girlfriends will become alcoholics (at least mine will). And what about programmers? It's their fate too?

PS. Why almost every thread that I am involved in goes really off-topic?
PS2. There is something else I want to ask you if you don't mind. Are you a programmer and in your full-time job? And if yes, what kind of things are you programming?

Weeell, it's hard to program when you're drunk, believe me ;)

Yes I am. I'm developing... large information systems (i.e. boring database programming ;))

On the other hand, I try to be drunk when I create images like the two above :)

:)

Well, I might try it for programming. Maybe I'll come up with some fresh new ideas too! ;D

Very cool screenshots! Impressive!
The second one almost looks like a pice of art drawn by Stanley Donwood (drawer of Radiohead's convolutes etc).

I'm downloading the demo now.

Thanks pakmannen  ;D

Oh... and don't expect too much from the demo. It's only a preview of what I have in my mind. :)
