that means i get this error message at uneven actions, even without actions.
but wme dont shoot down, i can continuing my work after the errormessage.
but it happens relativly often.
here is the short message:

Can you give some more information, like under what circumstances it happens? When you work in ProjectMan or SceneEdit, when you run a game? Does it happen with all projects, even the demos? Did you install new drivers or so? And so on :-)

By this you mean the game itself closes, but ProjectMan keeps running?

no, after testing and exiting the game without problems,
wme seems to be a little busy, and when i open for example scene edit, this error message
could happen.
The good thing is, that nothing closed,
after closing the error message i can work on,
either in the scene edit or the project man, both are open and functioning i guess. (didnt try many operations out after this)
I did only tests with my project based on the example i posted in the scripts section, so i dunno if it happens with other projects too.
since i update wme to 1.5 i got this behavior.
maybe i can sort it out, a little better.

EDIT: it comes only after i exit the game, it must relate to the game shut down process

No, i didnt using utf-8 knowingly.
I use ttf fonts in the game, and save the string tab with win editor, or Ultraedit not knowing exactly which *.txt format is used at all.
Is this the reason?

I'm not sure, but the place where it crashes should only be used in the utf-8 mode (I think..). You can check wme.log. If WME uses utf-8, there should be a notice in the log.
Anyway, would it be possible for me to get your project or some stripped-down version which exhibits the bug?

only with imported ttf fonts, so this must be the reason, i guess.

Thanks. It was a stupid bug with custom TTF fonts. You can download a fixed version of wme.exe here: http://dead-code.org/download/wme_latest.zip

By the way, at me absolutely same symptoms,
I too use TTF a font.
