partially draw entity based on region or mask?
« on: July 04, 2007, 04:48:57 AM »

We are looking to partially draw entities based on where they are...so for example if we have a circle and this circle goes outside of a hypothetical region, is it possible to not draw to screen the parts of the circle that are outside of this region? Obviously an easy way to do this would be to place the circle behind some PNG with a hole where we want these limits to be. The problem is with the certain effect we are trying to achieve we can't use this method. Looking through the docs and forums I am not seeing if there is a way to do this, so I am assuming the answer is no, but I am still curious. Thanks!  ;D

AFAIK only the png overlay way is supported so far.
