Is it possible to disable settings window?
« on: December 12, 2011, 06:00:51 PM »

Hello,
It it possible to disable the Game Settings window that shows on game start - in the final product?
Thank you in advance, I haven't found the direct answer in the forum.

Short answer is no. In theory you could set the settings in the registry with the installer of your game but that might cause problems because you don't know the hardware of the gamer's computer.

EDIT: WME needs it because it queries the hardware.

Thank you for the answer. I asked this question because the most of the casual game players will definitely press OK without even reading the information or tweaking the settings.
It would be nice to have the ability to launch the Game Settings window when needed or turn it off.

Clicking "OK" will be just fine. In most cases a casual gamer won't need to change anything.
You can manually show the settings window using the "settings.exe" file located in WME dir. Also the settings window has a an option to not show it next time which is again stored in the registry.
