Is development of Wintermute finished?  :(

AFAIK development has stopped yes. We do not expect any new official release. But both wme & wme lite are opensource. There are still some additions from third party developers at  wme lite bitbucket (https://bitbucket.org/MnemonicWME/wmelite/overview) but mainly bug fixes for their games or mobile fixes.
