Option to interpolate the movement between two sprite frames

There is a problem when I work on the walk animation. The actor appears to jerk because the actor is stationary between frames. And it appears to flicker when the actor's movement causes the camera to follow because the camera moves with smooth motion and does not sync with the actor. It will be nice if there is an option to set the sprite so that the actor will move smoothly between two frames. It will be really useful in case the actor hovers and only need to change frame every second or so.
