Scene Edit - Entity Properties

Can someone show me how to edit entities in the scene editor after I add them?  I can't figure it out. The help file says there is a property editor in the bottom left but it doesn't allow me to edit the entity I just added.

I can't even change the names of the new entities.

No. I cannot.

This is what I see. I've tried right clicking, left clicking, double clicking, etc the entity. Nothing changes. The properties button down at the bottom takes me to something different. This is what I see:

Doesn't do anything. If I doubleclick it detaches the side menu so I can move it around and resize it, but otherwise that is it.

Another try ;) Go to the View -> Toolbars -> Properties
If it's not checked click on it.
