We are deciding on which logo to use in our new company, Spare Time Gaming.
You can get a little bit of information at www.sparetimegaming.com.

We would like you to help us choose a logo.
The criteria for the logo is

1. Uniqueness - which logo stands out most?
2. Recognizability - which logo would be easiest recognized if we did nothing but display the logo?
3. Design - which logo has the best design?

From everybody who votes, we will draw 5 winners that will each get a free copy of our game in progress, Pennyless (Working Title), as well as a free copy of the movie "Dark Rising" by Defiant Empire that will be released shortly.

We're looking forward to your votes. 
Also, make sure you comment on why you chose the logo you did - if not we will not be able to draw you as the winner (since we do not know which members votes what).

I chose the first one as I like the combination of the clock and the puzzle parts.
This might also work for Logo4, but the text doesn't apply there for me, maybe if the text would be next to the logo it would win, but from this collection: Logo1.

#1, #2 and #4 are too detailed and "overloaded" for my taste, so I voted for #3 - as it is the most clean and simple one. I think if you would change the heads to a clock face in #3 it would be perfect, as it would be both simple and have a reference to your name.

Can I take part in the "contest" although I won't vote (yet)? 

Anyway... I like the text part in the first two logos but to tell you the truth all of them are too "heavy" for my taste. Usually a logo is designed to also work as a 1-bit logo (when needed) and at all sizes (especially really tiny ones). One thing I didn't like is the puzzle parts, they are too common. Sorry zyndikate Other than that... if I had to choose one I'd say the second one with the bubble/puzzle much smaller.

I like logo_1 and logo_4, according to your request, in my opinion the idea about the puzzle-clock it's good but i don't like how "spare time gaming" is positioned. It seems umbalanced, hides too much the clock and gives to tho whole picture the feeling of an uncompleted composition.
Why don't you try to resize the clock aside the logo name or change positioning?

anyway... penyless looks very good graphics.

I was hoping that even more members would participate so that we could have a draw for these prizes, but if there are no replies in a week or two, we will lock this thread and select 5 winners which will be announced here.

The winners will then need to send their mailing address to our email address, but that will be explained in more detail later.

okay i voted already
here my explanation ...

definitely number one:
the layout of number one is far better than in number two where the logo gets to large in the y-axis .. even if i think the reduced puzzle pieces look better than in number one.
maybe a combination of one and two will be the best for me...

number 3:
to me this is the logo with the most character of a hobby project ....

number 4:
i do not like the colour of it ... the more blue tone in one and two is better in my opinion

A logo needs to be simple and easy to remeber.
No. 1,2 and 4 are very detailed for me.
So I voted for 3.

I opened the link but I found no info about what "Spare Time Gaming" will be. Are you going to be a game publisher or you'll be promoting free games?

Vins, we are establishing a company that will make commercial computer games.
We are currently working on the game "Pennyless" (working title), which is an adventure game. And to keep costs down we found that WME was a very good tool for creating such a game.
Later on we will also be making other kinds of games.

My personal hopes for this company is that we will be able to attract the best people to make games that will top the lists.
Maybe I should create another poll called "Where will Spare Time Gaming be in 5 years"?
