Game announcements / Re: Project Cook(working title) in development
« on: July 22, 2008, 09:05:44 AM »
Haven't posted anything informative in a while. The developement has been delayed a bit but I'm back on track.
Here's a new wip:
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z69/space_boy_album/projectcook-locationwip12.png

The person is just a size reference and not part of the location. The placement of the props might change. The lighting will definetly change and of course most of the textures are still missing. Comments appreciated.

Sorry but I don't know. I said there would be a gamma slider because I assumed WME had some code for adjusting gamma, but  apparently it doesnt... oops.  :-[

I'd just like to remind you about BURDEN OF PROOF. If you come here and assume that respected people are being dishonest about a quite serious matter you better have some evidence. I'd be really pissed if the reputation of the WME crowd took damage because of people spreading unverified bullshit like its a proven fact(which is already being done in certain places).

They say there's no such thing as bad publicity...

That's only true for Paris Hilton. I think WME deserves something better than that. There are comments all over the net about the shitty quality of the game. Lest people think it's the engines fault. I'm glad you take it with humour(I do find the new banner hilarious myself), but I'm sure you'd like any other game but this one to advertise the engine. WME really has potential and this sorry excuse for a game is very good at hiding that.

I know this location appears too dark when it's not fullscreen, because of all the bright colors around it. But I tested it fullscreen in the engine and it looks fine. Anyway there will be a gamma slider in the settings menu, so no worries.

EDIT: replaced it with a brighter and bigger version.

The exact same message was posted on the AGS forums. This is shameless spam. Writing a design doc is not as difficult as this company presents it to be, and nobody needs commercial "pro software" for that. There's a very well written and FREE game design document template written by Chris Taylor. http://www.ihfsoft.com/designdocuments.htm
If you need help making a design doc, download that file and don't waste your money, guys.

Btw: There seems to be a lot of stickmen related posts in here(not really but thats my standard message for every forum). Fortunately there's Stickman Designer Pro! It will guide you through the very, very, VEEERY complicated process of drawing a stickman!
