Geometry gets distorted when using editable meshes
« on: July 10, 2007, 10:00:46 AM »

Hi, again!  :)

I´ve noticed something concerning the 3ds geometry. When I create my hidden geometry with "boxes" (i.e. for the walls and floor etc) and export it to 3ds everything is fine and the scene geometry is correct.

But if I use geometry that has got cuts (editable mesh) , WME gets confused and distorts the geometry.

This even happens when I export a very simple box (made editable and deleted the top and bottom polygon).

I´m using Cinema4D.

Glad for any help,
Oli

Um, no idea what's the difference when exporting editable meshes, they are all just meshes in the 3ds file. 3DS Max has the ability to flatten the modifier stack, which usually solves this kind of problems when used before exporting. I know nothing about C4D though.
