Hi guys,
If i want to animate the face of my character, can i use a morph for animation or do i have to rig his face and then use the rig to make him talk for example. Thanks in advance.

Technical forum / Inventory Item hotspot

Hi guys I was just wandering if it was possible to make the hotspot for the inventory items in the middle of the item instead of the top left of it. This way players wouldn't need to aim for the top left of the item graphic to combine with other items or the environment but just the middle of of. Also is there a way to make the hotspot cover the whole graphic of the item so as soon as two items touch then you can combine them.

Hi guys I have made games with the Wintermute engine using only 2D and now I want to journey into the 3D side of it and have been studying how it works. I have the geometry and background part all figured out using blender for that but I don't know the process of modelling a character.

Basically I want to know the process of what you guys use to get your characters to wintermute.

texture in max
animate in max
export from fragMotion
import/use in wintermute

What programs do you guys use to finally get your model working in wintermute.

Technical forum / Scaling Items in WME

Hi guys, here is my problem. I want to use the object graphics from the scene as the item graphics. It saves time. The only problem is that the object graphics are to big for the inventory. Is there a way to scale the item graphics down to fit the inventory, instead of having to resize manually and then export a smaller version.

Hi guys, I am developing a game for my academy/game school project, and because I say school project doesn't mean I am going to put no effort into it. This game will be used in my portfolio so I want it to be good.

I have completed the story and Game Design document. I will send those documents to anyone who wants to look at them.

The cutscenes or cinematics will be in the style of a comic book with the camera showing a cell at a time. Even though it is in the style of a comic book there will be voices. I need someone that is capable of blending a comic book with an animation and make something unique. Even if it is like the "Elite Beat Agents" comic book cutcenes, that would be good. I also need a programmer who can program a sort of ability system. There will only be two. Strength and Speed. The player will sometimes have to use these abilities instead of items to solve puzzles in the game.

Anyway guys the rest is in the GGD and Story document, if interested I will send you the GGD and story documents. A schedule has also been created. I started work on this game 14 weeks ago. Now it's time to develop it. It will be a free project so unfortunatly I can't pay anyone but you can use the project in your portfolio.

Now for a bit of info on the game.

Story plot:

Your character Jack Jacobs is attacked by a werewolf on the night he is experimenting with his science project. After having wierd nightmares he decides to tell his best friend Zack. Zack suggests he goes and see's a Gypsy. After talking with the Gypsy Jack learns that he needs to find ingredients to prevent himself from becoming a werewolf. That is only the beginning...

Art Style:

The games art style will in the same style as Day of the Tentacle, Pajama Sam or even Runaway. I need wierd comic book style graphics.

Ok guys well I want to make the inventory pop up and be big not just a small thing up the top. Sort of like monkey island 3 style where the inventory pops up and it takes up most the screen. So again i need to know how to make the inventory bigger and accept items on the next line instead of having to press the scroll button to access the rest of the items. If you have more then 7 items it should start again on the next line and not on the same line. I was thinking of 3 or 4 different inventorys set up to look like one. Please any help would be appreciated.  :D

Hey guys ICU is a new company and would like to recruit as many people possible. Right now we have two 2D artists for GUI's, items and backgrounds but we really need some 3D artists, you guys can use any 3D modelling program you want. We also need a music composer and web designers for both HTML code and graphic design for our webpage. We also need an ICU logo, our moto is SEEING IS BELIEVING. So if some one can come up with a great logo sweet ill even pay for it. We also need 2 more programmers. I am a programmer myself. We are a non-commercial company but if we make somthing great and its worth selling then by all means i'll go commercial. We also need a project leader who knows what there doing with WME and that can schedule when things get done. Hopefully we can start right away, we also need some script writers aswell. Oh yeah one more thing I have some stories already so we can start right away but I would still like script writers because im good at plots and ideas but can't really write scripts well lol.
