Title: Simple check for us stupid
Post by: metamorphium on July 24, 2005, 10:05:50 AM
Hi Mnemonic,

I'd like to have a really simple but very useful feature in WME. SceneEdit has one small problem that
if it has misplaced root (we were speaking about it yesterday) and you don't notice it and assign
bitmaps not sprites (backgrounds etc.) there, it puts into .scene file absolute path.
Moreover it's almost untraceable on your computer because it works even in compiled mode and
you realize that after trying it on different computer.

Since I am doing a lots of shifts in my project (because of its size) I am sure it will happen to me more than once
so the request is if, when WME detects absolute path for loading, it simply issued a message on screen. "Warning
absolute path detected". Or maybe Scenedit should warn you to prevent this from happening at all?

Or maybe I am just plain stupid and noone else will ever encounter this problem. :-)

Thanks

Okay, it's a ToDo.
