Go ahead, ask Mnemonit to give you the sources to port it.

But as long as the hardline OpenSource Monkeys cannot decide on ONE common way to do things (Even OpenGL is constantly questioned, not talking about sound standards!), I don't think this will be that easy without a linux internal.
