Title: Actor Exchange
Post by: Doctor Jeep on January 26, 2003, 09:46:28 PM
If anybody has any actors they wouldn't mind letting me use, just for development, it would be great.

Creating my actor will be one of the final steps in this development, so i really need somebody other than Molly (as fine as she is) to stand in for my Ego through the dev cycle.

It would be great if people in the WME could share their actors with eachother and it would really  help shorten the cycle for many, i'm sure.

Thats Cool!

All my stuff is done in 3D Render style! But I'm sure it would still be fun to drop in your actors.

I'm sure other people would benefit as well.

*LOL* Cartoon chars in 3D world. Like: "Who did Roger Rabbit Kill?"

Perhaps if you ask nicely on other adventure game designer boards, you can probably get a lot of their old, worn-out character sprites. People are usually very helpful like that, unless you nag them for the complete source for their latest, 70% finished, game project. That gets them kinda cranky sometimes. Wonder why?  ::)

Therealmoondevil: Can we see some of your artwork? I love the cartoonish style, wish I could do it myself..

Hi scarpia ,

first of all welcome to this board..

second , i have been busy with travelling last weeks .. for my work .
so i didn`t had much time to do some artwork. there are some backgrounds almost finished and for the characters too.
but i need some finetuning on it.
i wanna make the perfect game !
so with this issue the delays are coming .. :(
the plot scripts are all done !

I believe the title of the film -- at least in America -- is "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"

Anyway, ForeverDream Studios' The Curves of Danger uses 2D cartoon sprites in combination with black & white, pre-rendered 3D locations. Its a design decision that was made very early in the process, although we are currently negotiating for a replacement sprite artist. We felt that for this game, the 2D cartoon characters would be more easily identified with in an adventure game than a 3D character; but the locations had to be solid or gritty and a bit cold to encourage the noir atmosphere.
