Title: Beneath All Dust ---> screenshots!
Post by: xerilon on June 28, 2005, 10:43:21 PM
Apdan Games are now developing Beneath All Dust. This is the first in a story of two games, where we get to know the girl Felicia and her discoveries of dark hidden secrets in the normal world.

We are going for a 3rd person view with 3d characters and we WILL NOT use Poser models!!! Mwoahahahahaa!!

Of course WME,, need I say it?

Thanks for the C&C guys! But I agree; Lighting is a difficult thing.. The techinique is still fresh but will hopefully improve in time  ;)

Looks very good. Can you share some more info about the game. Or is it too early?

Im sorry to say its a little early to say something about the story itself. :-\
But I can reveal that I do read alot about occultism, and the story is based on real occult facts, some folklore and myths, and blended together in a colorful but dark adventure.

Hey Candle; The thing I find wrong about Poser characters, is that they are just too perfect. And they are so easily recognizable, and I have never seen a poser model with creatively designed clothing... But I understand they are easy to go for, and their proportions are correct as models (as I`ve said: a little too correct )  :P

Sounds even more interesting now :-)

Well, that really depends on what you make out of the Poser-figures - if you use standard textures, morphs and lightning then yes, they all look the same, but if you put some creativity and work into it, they are not really recognizable as "made with Poser".

But well, for real-time 3d they are uninteresting anyway. At least until we have 30 Ghz machines ;-)
