There are plenty of WME games available on steam which added a few months ago the feature to tag games with words so it's easier to search for them. For those tags to be visible and searchable to show results a lot of people must choose them. My suggestion is to tag wme games with "Wintermute Engine" so please help with that.

Games I'm 100% certain are WME:
Lost crown
Darkfall 3
Oknytt
Face Noir
A stroke of fate - operation valkyrie
Shadows on the vatican - act1
Reversion ep1 & ep2
Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches
J.U.L.I.A. Among the stars
Corrosion: Cold Winter Waiting [Enhanced Edition]
A Carol Reed Mystery: Bosch's Damnation
A Carol Reed Mystery: Shades of black

Please if you know of any other game let us know but only if you are certain. For example Hamlet is a wme game but in some platforms they used a different engine and since I don't have it I can't be sure what the steam version uses.

If you tag make sure you use "Wintermute Engine". Variations don't count as the same.

There is no policy against new WME users. But due to most WME users working on commercial games (some in their own WME fork) most of them unfortunately don't have the necessary time to answer all questions.

Thus, until someone can post an answer, it's often suggested to check the online book written by metamorphium which is an excellent resource and very friendly to new users.

Can you post in game screenshots so we can see what the distortion looks like?

Links Mnemonic posted does have detailed step-by-step instructions. Unfortunately to make it work it requires certain knowledge (understanding what source code is and how to build it to an executable for your platform of choice). It sees that your best bet is to find someone who is willing to do it for you.

Check wme tutorial, step6. Following the tutorial will save you a lot of time. Trial & error is not the best way to learn an engine.

Please note you can also have regions with different scales as mentioned in the docs.

It seems you are trying to create a game before even learning the basics. To make your life easier you can follow the tutorial (which describes one way to scale actors - the other is to use the Actor.Scale attribute) and the WME Book Online.

Thanks
Always wanted to try it but somehow never happened to buy it. ::slug
WME forums have a generic discussion section if you wish to share more on your new 3D game.

I don't have that file anymore. :( But even if I had it it would be very outdated with lots of missing keywords.

No reason to make your own compiles.

They shouldn't have any differences to affect the design of your first 2.5D game. 1.10.1 has a couple of new features and a few bugfixes.

You can use Game.IsShadowTypeSupported() method to check the availability of specified shadow type on current computer configuration and use Game.MaxShadowType() attribute to set the shadow. Check "game object" in wme documentation to see how those 2 work.

I don't think you can override driver settings.
