No, I don't think so. WME probably wouldn't benefit from any of the new DX9 features.

It sounds familiar :)

Anyway, I don't see a reason for switching to DX9 at the moment. Some people were even complaining about the DX8 requirement (which is pretty ridiculous if you ask me...)
