Question about low poly designs
« on: May 16, 2010, 01:12:42 AM »

Here's the thing, I work on a laptop that is pentium II PE 366 MHZ with 256 RAM and I want to make a 2.5. horror complete with hidden geomerty and 3D characters that is almost like the stuff in the original Resident Evil so I was wondering one thing. What is the ideal face (poly) limit for the specs I stated above? Would it be 500? 1000? 1700?

Thanks for your help.

Pentium II? 366 Mhz? 256 Mb RAM? And I suppose that the graphics card don't has more than 64 Mb.

Forgot your idea.

I'm afraid that the OS will be use all the resources of the laptop, all the applications will run bad, and a game that need DirectX probably don't work.

You can test it with the demos, check the official 2.5D demo includes in the package and looking for the Dreamweb demo in the forum.
