Why is game engine trying to connect to net?
« on: July 29, 2007, 12:17:02 AM »

Why is the runtime game engine trying to connect to IP 209.85.135.103 ?
A traceroute says that this ip is mu-in-f103.google.com. Goggle inspire me trust, but I wish to know what is the reason behind this connection, it's pretty annoying for those with a firewall.

Thanks guys  :), WME is awasome

I don't see any reason why WME should connect to Google.

The only place where the engine can connect to under some conditions is microsoft.com. It only happens if you're using WHQL certified video drivers and the "Require 3D acceleration" option is disabled. That's because DirectX 7 is validating the digital signature of the drivers.
