From what I can tell, Windows doesn't have a charset for indian languages. The examples I've seen ignore charset and set face name to "Mangal" for Hindi and to "Latha" for Tamil (those are the fonts supplied with Windows). You can try using these face names in WME font definitions and see what happens. I can't really tell, sorry.
