Title: Artist needs programmer
Post by: artsyguy on December 24, 2004, 07:07:57 PM
I make comic art and want to make a game similar, in terms of gameplay, to the Quest for Glory series. However the plot can be anything, and the art would be comic style. Maybe it could be released as shareware.

Basicly I think the adventure genre will not appear again on the mainstream market until it is coupled with action, roleplaying, or other form of gameplay. I'm tired of rpg's being so shallow, the adventure elements would make it a living breathing world.

So mostly I'd like to do an adventure/rpg. I'm open to suggestions too.

Look at my art at zombiebomber.deviantart.com and if your interested (especially programmers) let me know.

Hmm, unless I'm terribly mistaken, our member Igorrr wants to make a game similar to Quest for Glory and incidentally he's a programmer looking for an artist ;) Right, Igorrr?

Yeah I already talked to Igorrr. He wants a traditional quest for glory with the painted look. I've checked up on sflah and hero6, they're on much different paths. I want something very different than quest for glory, but for people who like quest for glory. I'm inspired by Final Fantasy, Conan, Street Fighter,  Heavy Metal Magazine, and tons of other stuff. I want to implement a different artistic approach in music, writting, and visuals with that type of gameplay.

Oops I must have missed this thread. But yeah artsguy wrote me and honestly I really loved his art and I also love the heavy metal magazines ;-) But yeah, I really want the painted drawings and no comic style. Then again some might say in my situation I can't be picky.....
But really thanks again for the offer.
