No, it's designed for 3rd person adventure games.

Well... You can create some kind of 2D house of the dead or shooting gallery and... Alright alright, I'll shut up  :P

...and in your adventure game you can create an entity that's dead because...well...someone shot him.  It's the best of both worlds I tell ya. ;D
