bad-brain - good-bye Sam&Max !
« on: January 29, 2005, 02:00:12 AM »

We tried everything to bring you the game you all wanted. But it seems all hope has gone. They broke of negotiations. But you truly have to believe that it wasn't our fault and it sure wasn't the money. We just don't know and they don't tell.

That's it - more or less. Check their website to learn about their left hope to get the game, when the rights fall back from Lucasart to Steve Purcell.

And this prooves that all this hype BBE created about S&M was a stupid movement. They should have waited to have something solid in their hands first. And this comment about "...money was not a issue..."  :o is even more stupid. What do I care about that? Anyway, I hope this won't cause them serious problems since I'd really like to see "A vampire story".

Bad Brain appears very unprofessional after all this. Especially their idea that the gamers should start pressuring Steve Purcell to give the right for the game to them! It angers me, trying to make everything Steve Purcell's fault if he doesn't want to make another S&M game.

I couldn't agree more. First they are sayed that "we want the game, money is NOT an issue, but the bad LucasArts doesn't want to give the rights to us" and secondly "try YOU to get the game for us and blame Steve Purcell if we don't". I don't know the reason for their acts (unfrofessionalism, childish behaviour of people that love adventures and got excited -the naive approach???- etc) but I sure don't like them.

And keep in mind that I'm not a S&M fan.
