Facial animation

Is it possible to create actor with facial animation? How to make talking animation? (I talk about 2,5D game with characters in .X-format)

You can do facial animations just like any other animations - using bones. Of course, it will take a few bones to make reliable facial animation, but it's possible. Alternatively, for simple animations, you can just change the face texture, but I don't think this approach is being used anymore.
