3D actors with particles
« on: February 15, 2012, 06:51:34 PM »

Hello I couldn't find this answered already, but is there a way to set an option for particles to occur in front of a 3D actor or behind it? Thanks

I've never tested this myself, but I'd use

CreateParticleEmitterBone(BoneName, OffsetX, OffsetY, OffsetZ)

attaching the emmiter to the bone in question and offsetting Z.

I dont really need to connected to the actor, just in front or behind. For example, smoke or fog in front of the actor or behind the actor

ok. Then use StickToRegion(); for the entity holding particle emmiter.
