Using "Move by" in sprites causes wrong positions in Scene Editor.
« on: September 20, 2006, 05:32:52 PM »

Hi Mnemonic,

I noticed the following behaviour that looks to me like a possible bug:

When an animated sprite with a "move by" property is placed in the scene and the user saves the scene, the position that is saved in the .SCENE file is not the position that was entered in the entity properties, but its current position at the time the file is saved.

Is this intended ?

Thanks.

Well I wouldn't say it's intended, but it's not a bug either. SceneEdit simply serializes the current state of the scene and moving sprites do affect this state, so it's "by design", I guess.. It would be probably better to avoid inserting such sprites directly into scene and either load them at runtime or moving the entities in script.
