General Discussion / Animation in Blender
« on: August 28, 2005, 12:49:58 AM »
The Blender team is working on a new animation system for Blender,
it has IK (obviusly) and a new vertex weighting system.

this are some links:
http://www.blender3d.org/forum/
http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Changes_since_2_37.598.0.html
http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Dependency_Graph.633.0.html

http://www.blender3d.org/cms/How_Armatures_work.634.0.html
http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Armature_draw_modes.629.0.html

So, animating in Blender (and Modeling and rendering too!) and export to WME would be very usefull.....

Technical forum / Error displaying 3ds mesh
« on: July 12, 2005, 11:51:34 PM »
hello,
I've created a simple mesh in Blender,
I've renamed in a proper manner all the object (walk_, ...).
The scene editor loads the file, display the camera's name, but not the mesh.
If I override the FOV, I can see the walkpoint I've inserted from blender.
If need I can post the 3ds file.

is this a know problem?
is a scale problem?

thanks

Feature requests, suggestions / 3d models format
« on: July 07, 2005, 10:30:44 AM »
Hello,
I'm not a Milkshape user, I'm a Maya and Blender user,
so would be better, I think, to have an exporter from those 3d package.
Milkshape is'nt the best solution for an animator, it does'nt have features such IK...
Maybe WME can have its own 3d file format?

Technical forum / Sprite Antialiasing Question
« on: July 07, 2005, 01:37:10 AM »
Hello,
I have a question:
can all the sprite on the screen be "filtered" smoothing the edge pixels and all?
like a Bilinear filter.

or like Runaway.

thanks

Feature requests, suggestions / Future Mac OSX support
« on: July 05, 2005, 11:53:30 PM »
Hello Mnemonic,
now are 2 days I'm learning WME, and it's what I need for begin my
"life's" project.

I think that when Apple will launch the new Intel based Macs,
the computer world will change again, and Windows will be not
the only choice for no-console gamers.

So I think a MacOSX support will be a right think to promote WME.
Maybe just a "player" and not all the toolkit.
But I know that it's a BIGGER work.

So...

Thanks again and Congratulation for WME.
