Hi, everyone! ::wave
I am 27 years old, from Greece and I am a lawyer. Honestly.
I really enjoyed the Manic Mansion series of games.
I am really new at that sort of things, but I think WME is amazing! And I am so happy that there are tutorials in Greek, it's a great help! (Νά '

Hi, Mnemonic!
Hi, muties!

Mnemonic, You're doing a great job. So, I wish good luck in all your duties.

To the topic:
1) I'm 23 years old
2) I'm from Mariupol, Ukraine
3) I'm web-developer (mostly web-designer), but from my early childhood I dream of developing games. And I've started. Now I'm working on my first 2,5D adventure game (In some days I'll upload a web-site and, of course, I will post about my game in this forum  ;))
4) Lot of them, but mostly like Full Throttle, Runaway, Nightlong, Syberia 1,2, Still Life, The Longest Journey, Broken Sword and Tunguska (from the last published)

Hi everyone!

Great to hear we all are from around the globe. Awesome!
So here it comes  :D

* I'm just 34
* Vladivostok, Russia (Japan sea coast)
* Animation director in upcoming King's Bounty: The Legend
* H'm. Difficult part:
- Kentilla (My first adventure experience. Spectrum old good times ::rock)
- Myst, Syberia, Half-Life (Oops. At least there is pretty good adventure aspect in point'n'shoot action of original game ::) )

Have found WME recently and think it perfectly feets my wish to play with free engine for trying some ideas in spare time.
Thank you, Mnemonic & guys, for giving such an opportunity to indie developers and adventure enthusiasts!  ::thumbup

My name is Clark Kromenaker, and I'm a student at the University of Southern California studying Computer Science and Game Design, though I am originally from Wisconsin.  I'm 18 years old, and am currently working on a Wintermute project, as well as a website which I hope, when launched, will be successful enough to become profitable.  Besides being a website for my "studio" projects, I also want it to contain extensive tutorials and free resources (models, graphics, sound, etc) for games, websites, and other tech-related items.

Favorite adventures:

Gabriel Knight (all three, but I like the 3rd the most)
Riven
Space Quest (couldn't name just one)

I found Wintermute when, after constantly nagging on the AGS forum for features such as usable video playback, subtitles, and better volume controls, someone finally mentioned WM.  When I looked it up and started messing with it, I was shocked that it isn't more widely used.  Not only does it seem to have everything you need for a truly professional game, but it also seems to be so abstractly constructed as to allow for some widely varying game styles.  Well done. :)

My name is Sally Kwan, and I'm from Canada. A lady's age is a secret, moi? Let's say that I'm way, way older than I look. Or act.

I'm a graphic/web designer mostly full-time, part time vocal coaching in the evenings. I used to sing, and now I just teach. I have a 13 month old. I run http://minutegamer.wordpress.com and it's getting a bit slow lately because I'm SWAMPED.

I've always wanted to make adventure games; but life gets in the way. I have a background in music and art, and very little in programming. I used to be a front end web dev in the 90's dotcom boom.

My top 3 favorite adventure games:

Grim Fandango
The Longest Journey
Syberia

- Im 20
- Kaiserslautern, Germany ::beer
- I dont know how to say it in english but ...yes...im working for a Lawyer
- Overclocked (~made in germany~ ;)), Discworld and Baphomets Fluch(i think... Broken Sword is the original name?! dont know)

Im Hobbydeveloper (PHP and C#(.NET))and my english is so bad ::slug. If i read something in english i understand it but wirting somethin in english is hard for me. Ill try my best, try to learn here and hope that you understand me .

My first Adventure ever was Maniac Mansion when i was a little cute child xD. And know i want to make my own Adventure. First i was using "Point and Click Development Kit" it is made by a German and is a very nice powerful, easy-to-use Adventuremaker but while i was developing my game i had some ideas wich i cant make with this tool. So i hope the Wintermute Engine gives me the Freedome i need :). That means that i have to make everthing new ... Wintermute is big and looks powerful and complex but its easy to learn and i like the Scriptlanguage :>.

1 Question: Is there any offical or inoffcial german Board about Wintermute out there?

Thanks for reading

There used to be a German section of the forum, but it was pretty much dead (even though there are numerous WME users from Germany) so I eventually removed it. But if there's enough interest, it's not a problem to start subsections for other languages (just don't expect me to post in them, I'm limited to English/Czech).

Hi. New guy just exploring wintermute and working through the tutorial. So far I love the ease of use. I am hoping the programming will offer me a simple avenue to learn a c-like language. I have used various BASIC languages many years ago but the brain ain't what it use to be.

* where are you from?
USA

* what is your occupation?
Flash illustration - a totally new occupation for me as I just went back to animation school in October 2005 and got my first creative job in May 2007. Never too late to follow up on your dreams ...

* what is your three favorite adventure games?
I can't name any. I've been studying and working multiple jobs for the past few years and haven't been able to play much. That's one of the reasons I'm here.
