Title: Professional Composer Available!
Post by: gregjazz on July 28, 2008, 11:34:44 PM
Hi all,

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Greg Schlaepfer, and I am a professional freelance composer. I mostly compose orchestral, rock, and electronic music, but due to my background in jazz (I have my B.A. in music with a concentration in jazz) I have experience writing for that style of music as well.

Demo Reels:

Orchestral – http://www.orangetreeaudio.com/audio/orchestraldemoreel.mp3
Arcade - http://www.orangetreeaudio.com/audio/arcadedemoreel.mp3
Atmospheric - http://www.orangetreeaudio.com/audio/atmosphericdemoreel.mp3

On my website you will find streaming versions of these demo reels as well as my bio information, which lists previous computer game and film projects I have been involved with: http://www.orangetreeaudio.com

You can contact me at: contact AT orangetreeaudio DOT com

I look forward to hearing from you,

Greg Schlaepfer,

Hi Greg and welcome here,

very nice work indeed. The tribute to John Williams at the end of orchestral track is really funny.  ;D Hopefully you'll find here some team actively looking for a good composer.

Good luck and keep your demo reel growing!

Thank you for the kind words!

The demo reels cover styles that I felt would be most popular for game music, but I will add more reels in the future. In fact, I had to cut out a lot of music from the reels to keep them around 3 minutes long, as I was advised.

Thank you again,

Greg

Well, usually when I see ads in forums like this, I end up listening to the music and it leaves much to be desired.

However, I know for fact Greg's work is top notch. So much that other sample/virtual instrument companies ask him to do demos for him! Greg's stuff actually has high quality VI's and samples, as well as engineering. Something that is somewhat lacking in the game industry.
