is there an antialias feature for sprites (that have a tranparency color)?

For sprites it's highly recommended to use png with alpha channel. This way you can make graphic files antialised. Transparency color won't work because it always leaves blocky edges. First case you have an 8bit (=256 stages) transparency, second you have 1bit.
