cannot find files on cd

When I write the wme.exe & data file on a cd the interprenter cannot find the data files and it displays an error. Is there any way to make the game playable on a cd without to have to install it on the hd first?

Well, it's the remnant of WME's sophisticated (ahem) file system, which is not yet fully finished :-\ I've disabled the CD detection stuff for now. Please get the modified runtime at:

Yes, at least until the file system is fully functional. Well, it doesn't seem anyone's going to make a multiple CD game anytime soon ;-)
