Title: error
Post by: odnorf on April 22, 2003, 01:43:11 PM
5-6 times today I received this error while browsing the forums here: "Can't create a new thread (errno 11). If you are not out of available memory, you can consult the manual for a possible OS-dependent bug"

Yep, it seems to be working now. Probably some server problem...

OK, I'll have to contact the technical support :-)

uh-oh... just got the error after reading about that.

That's MySQL for sure... your server is out of memory (maybe too many connects... probably not in the WME board, but maybe the database server is used by other pages, too ?).

Better make a Database Dump/Backup NOW! :-)

Funny fact: I've upgraded to the latest version of YABB SE. Now when I try to dump the database I get a "hacking attempt" message :/ I have to back it up using MySQL Admin...

OK.... the problem is really big.... I have to click "refresh" 10 times in EVERY page to work...

I was told by the tech support that they are moving the MySQL databases to a new server. That should solve the problem.

Yeah, it's getting more and more worse. In my last posts I had to "copy" the text first. Two times I clicked the "post" button and it just didn't responde and I had to rewrite it!!!!

Everything seems to get even worse... AAAAAaaaaaargh..... This forum has been attacked by LeChuck an his evil zombie ghost pirates....

Please, excuse me for a few minutes... I'm going to phone to Threepwood. Have I told you that he is my personal friend? No? Well, it's a long story. It all started..... well, I'm not going to tell you... It's the script for my second adventure game. It will be called "Wintemute Engine is Lost on the Monkey Island" and It will have a new character. His name? "Mnemonic"

No, Mnemonic is going to be the one who is lost in the Monkey Island with the Wintermute Engine in his pocket until the famous Threepwood with his best friend odnorf (who is this guy?) saves him from the evil LeChuck who want's to mary  :) him because he posseses the secret of "Monkermute Islandine"

You can give the "Monkermute Islandine" to Threepwood :). In this way LeChuck will stop haunting you and our Friend Threepwood will be able to create his own adventures (like being the strongest pirate, have children with his wife Elaine etc)

Hm, the server was not available a few minutes ago and currently the forum runs at high speed... and no error yet.

I noticed that :) Except the thing about "high speed" but that's my old modem's (56kbps) fault...
