Is there a kind of Wintermute for platform games ?

Hello

Wintermute is great to make adventure games, but I would like to also make games like "Mr Nutz" "Castle of illusion" "Super Mario" and so on. These funny games in which you walk on platforms and jump on the head of your ennemis to kill them. ;D

Does anybody know an easy engine to make this kind of game ?

I looked on the web but only found uneasy and quite expensive tools... Nothing like this cool Wintermute.

You could also consider Torque Game Builder. There is a 30-day free trial available and you can have indie license for only 100$.

To use TGB you need serious programming skills, on the other hand Game Maker is much less powerful, but its extremely easy and pleasant to use. GM7 is about to be released on 28 this month.
