What about Picasa? Anyone has tried it? (I'm too lazy).

Also an option to hide the tree view to the side just by pressing a button and being able to return it to its past size pressing the same button would be nice. But it's not that important.

Hey Mac, try to implement also a "fins and replace in files" option if possible, I also use it a lot to update things a lot of different files in one go.

I personally prefer syntax highligting. It makes it easier to locate a concrete section of code you're looking for just by scrolling the text and not paying too much attention, just by the colors.

I have to program assembler using MS-DOS edit because of university, and it's a pain in the ass. Once you get 1000 lines of codes is a nightmare to jump from section to section of code without colors.

Great work!

But I find search & replace a basic feature, I think you should try to implement it as soon as possible.

Keep it up man!

Game design / Re: Game design ideas

Well, if you want an adventure game made out of plasteline, check out The Neverhood.

About real footage videogames, there has been a lot so far... usually in the beggining of the CD-ROM era. They had so much space, they couldn't fill it up just with usual graphics, so they started to get medium-quality video and real pictures for making adventures games. And had you said, all of them were first person (I think, at least I don't know of any real footage game in third person). Man, I hated those games, they usually were more of some sort of "interactive movies" instead of real adventure games. There are, of course, honorable exceptions to that, doesn't it Mnemonic? ;)

Hm... It doesn't sound like greek universities at all  ;)

Well, I'm sure it depends on what you're studying... I'm sick of seeing the philosophy guys smoking joints on the green from the windows of my computer lab while I'm doing stupid circuits practices...

dREams? What's that? Seriously, I have other priorites in my life right now which I hope to settle in the next 4-5-6-7 months. Then we'll see.

I understand you completely, I feel the same way about lots of things lately: I have more important matters in my life before those others. It's sad, but it's that way... I hope that I'll have time for hobbies again soon.

PS. Where have you been (beer?  ::beer)? The channel needs some spanish guys. It's full of Germans, Czechs, Russians and 1 greek right now.

University sucks your life, and then holidays come and you're out of town most of the time... but I'll try to come by here more often. And also get sometimes into the IRC. MMR is not showing up anymore neither? And what's about dREams?

I think the same. Only useful for computer voices or robots, not for humans in the game.

Game design / Re: Is this possible
« on: July 27, 2005, 09:15:40 AM »
It's possible with WME. But of course it's going to be tough. VERY tough. That's the challenge in making a game ;). But if you keep on, I'm sure the results will be rewarding.

If it's only rotation to de sides (i.e. rolling camera), it's possible, though WME is not directly intended for that, but it can be done. But if you also want up and down movement (camera tilt), then I think it's not.
