Title: A problem with hidden geometry
Post by: Mihulik on December 30, 2010, 11:58:47 PM
Hi,
we've been trying to switch our game from 2D to 2.5D.
However, we can't make the hidden geometry file for a scene work because the geometry doesn't fit the scene.

The modeller uses 3DMax 2009 to model the geometry and the geometry fits the scene there.
He uses this exporter: http://www.andytather.co.uk/Panda/directxmax_downloads.aspx (http://www.andytather.co.uk/Panda/directxmax_downloads.aspx)

He's checked the exporter settings three times whether they match the settings from the tutorials from your Knowledge base. They do.

Overriding camera FOV doesn't help.

Any idea? We're starting to be really puzzled. :-\

It seems that the geometry needs translating. However,  I can't do it in the WME, can I?

Try to check the option "Override camera FOV" and ajust the slide.

Is the scene's main layer really 1024x768? Do you use scene viewport? Does the scene scroll? Is it off in-game as well?

I've just checked everything.

The main layer is really 1024x768. I don't use scene viewport. The scene doesn't scroll and it's off in-game as well. :(

I really have no clue what's wrong. :-\
