Technical forum / missing function Entity.setLayer() ?

Hi, I was creating some smoke-generating-script and encountered the following problem:
When creating an entity with Scene.CreateEntity() the Entity always appers in the lowest layer of the scene. For parallax-scrolling is used in the scene I would like to assign the newly created entity to a different layer, but how? There is no Entity.setLayer() or something... :-(
Neither is there an alternate constructor Scene.CreateEntity(name,layer), what would have been possible, too.
