Hi Mnemonic,

it would be great to preset path for files (for the open file dialogues) to the root folder of the project (as defined in wpr file) or at least make it an option. I usually work on 4 and more WME projects at a time and if I for example open window editor upon fixing something in the Ghost in the Sheet, I have to navigate to completely different place for another game.

Hi Mnemonic
Would it be possible to preset actor for Scene Edit (while testing the positioning)? I always have to navigate through the folders to get the correct one. It would be great if I could somewhere preset the path to the actor and any time I clicked on the actor's icon in Scene Editor, the default would get loaded?

Hi Mnemonic,

if you click on the + on array variable to see it's contents, it's sorted alphabetically so you get 1, 10, 11 etc.

Feature requests, suggestions / Sprite scaling as a sprite parameter

It could be useful to have scale as a parameter of the sprite frame. This way it would be easy to make certain types of animations without having to script them (like blood in rats minigame for example :))

Not a bug / Window Editor - Alpha color bug

Another one - as soon as I change the alpha color or fade color to something else than 0;0;0; [0-255] it gets converted to RGB (instead of RGBA)

Edit: hmm, it gets more tricky. The problem is only in the R component when you put 255 there it's converted. 254; 0 ; 128; 128 works for example while 255; 0; 128; 128 creates  0;128; 128

Can't reproduce / Window edit minimalization bug

I've found a strange bug in Window Edit. Sometimes when you minimize it, you can no longer restore the window by clicking on the panel. You have to rightclick it, choose maximize, and then the window appears again.

Hi,

this is just a little complain, but if I add a new window through Project Manager (Add Window), the only window I could add is a default question template which already has buttons etc. It would be great if we could have the option of adding a blank window, as for people using the window edit it's a nuisance to delete all those lines (one by one) and then starting a new window.

Hi muties,

after months spend with WME book, I've decided for a different approach. One of the factors was, that just now I had to rewrite one whole chapter because it was no longer valid. So one of the key benefits will be easier maintanance. Another issue is that I've a lot of other stuff in my life to do and WME book appeared to be a daunting task. On the other hand what is already done could help many beginners to smoothly start.

In this light I've also decided to release the book as a donationware (same as WME itself), which would mean that you'll be free to read the book and also free to motivate me to either continue writing the book and adding new chapters or doing something more useful in my life. Like for example  ::beer ::beer ::beer ::beer ::beer

Now for the core point of this message. So far there're 11 chapters online and I'm looking for someone reliable (not like the people who snatched the chapters and disappeared) who would read the chapters and make a language proofreading. It's quite a lot of text so don't expect to do it in one afternoon - although if you're fast, you could make it.  ;) There's no need to proofread the code as it has been tested and it works.

So any volunteers?

It would be extremely useful if we were able not only to read, but also to change variable values in the debug console.
