fading actors

it would be nice if i could fade in / out an actor.
especialy for the sky actor it would be very cool. so i could fade a new sky slowly above an existing one ..
is this already possible ? ( i did not find any alpha value for actors )
for ghosts it would be useful ,too
best regards

how about the other way around? having overlay over the actor (with the actorless stuff) which you fade out. This would cause actor fading in. That way I did it in Destinies back then and it looked cool.

thanks for your idea but it does not help me here...
i want two sky actors one a little larger than the other.
so i can fade one in and out just over the other.
it would be possible to simulate day/night on the fly ... while the sky rotates slowly around the scene.

ah, ingenious. Then I second this request.
Btw. setting actor's texture to animated sprite containing this transition could help, no?

I'm cooking something that should make it possible. Stay tuned.
