Just a sanity check with scroll speed
« on: March 13, 2012, 06:20:09 PM »

I am trying to get smother faster movement in one scene. However if I change Scroll speed or scroll pixels at all the actor charater is very jerky, nb get a similar result when using deaulrt molly.
I am asssuming iro scroll speed low is faster and for the Scroll pixels command high is faster

any thoughts

You have to edit the Molly sprite. The Frame Delay is 90 MS, which makes ~ 11 Frames per Second for Molly. If you change the Framedelay to 40, you have about 24 FPS for that actor. Of course you need to have 24 Frames of animation too ;)

Greets,

Spellbreaker.

Oh and ScrollSpeed and ScrollPixels does not have anything to do with the actor, it only affects the scenes scrolling when the sceen is wider than the screen for example.

The actor only appears jerky when the scene is scrolling, otherwise movement is smooth.

I have tried it with another graphic and get similar results, perhaps i will experiment with reducing the frame delay

I had the same problem.
Try to make the scrolling speed of scene a little bit less than the speed of an actor.
