sorry for the late reply...wasn't on the computer on sunday.

i have DirectX 9...i have 320.0 MB of RAM...i downloaded Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2X (English for the Video card...cause my video card that came with this computer a long time ago...i don't think works as good.

the box in settings for the game is marked Force texture sudivision automatically cause underneath it...it said for Troubleshooting purposes...so if that is the problem...i can't troubleshoot the problem in order to fix it.

i don't think i run it in hardware acceleration...i wouldn't or don't know how.

Hmm... ok, there should be a checkbox on the initial settings screen - next to the select box of your graphic card. If this checkbox is disabled, try to disable the "run in window" option and check if you can activate the hardware acceleration mode then.

Ok, step by step instructions:

Downloading and stracting
1. Click on this link and download the file: http://www.justadventure.com/IndependentDevs/SofiasDebt/Sofia%B4s%20Debt.zip

2. Open the file with WinZip or any other uncompressor, and extract it to c:\sofia

3. Double click My Computer

4. Double click the C: drive

5. Double click the "sofia" folder

6. Double click "setup.exe"

Installation procedure
7. Click "next"

8. Click "next"

9. Click "next"

10. Select the "Create a desktop icon" checkbox, and click "next"

11. Click "install"

12. Wait for the installation to finish, and then read the text that will appear, completely. It will be useful once you're playing. Once you finish, click "next".

12. Leave selected "Launch Sofia's Debt demo", and click "Finish".

In the configuration dialog that will appear, leave everything as it is, just click "OK".

Now, you're playing the game. That's Sofia's Debt. Hope you like it.

If you want to play again in a later time, just double click the "Sofia's Debt" icon in your desktop.

i did it step by step...again...and it still crashes to my desktop...my dad knows about computers...i'll have him try and help me get it to work.

if he can't...i'll uninstall it again and not play it...i just don't understand why you folks don't have the trouble that i do.

maybe if it works with Windows XP...i'll buy that and try the redownload of Sofia's Debt again.

thanks for tryin to help folks.
