I feel sooo guilty...
« on: May 13, 2003, 02:10:36 PM »

Uh-ohhh, guess I'm a really bad guy...  :-[ - and WME got me:

Quote
Look me in the eye
I'm about to dive
Can you live your life
Without me

I don't need you anymore
I can't use you anymore
Killing the fire
And you kill my desire
I don't need you anymore

Well hello there, fellow hacker. Enjoy your visit :-)

well... err... "thank you" ? ;)

I just wanted to lookup, if there is a hidden - no wait, lets say "undocumented" ;) - parameter to wme.exe to enable the debug mode to check the framerate slow-down in McCoy's game. (That was before you answered my question about that.)

Anyway - interesting stuff inside... maybe I'll have one or two questions when I see you online next time.  ;)

(That's Garbage, isn't it ? Don't find the title anymore.)

Ok, it is possible. If you create a dcgf.ini file, put the file to the game folder, and put inside lines such as:
Code: [Select]
[Debug]
ShowFPS=1

The game should then display FPS on screen.

Does this work only with the FPS? or with the other debugging options too (like AllowWindowed)? I am not at
home right now so I can't really test it.

All of them work, DebugMode, ShowFPS, AllowWindowed. And some other non-important development-only stuff...

Oh... cool... and really usefull. Does this mean that if I have the line DebugMode in dcgf.ini it will create an wme.log file even if the game is compiled???
