Texture Swapping?
« on: July 02, 2008, 03:38:14 AM »

Hey guys can Wintermute support texture swapping, so like if I have character and want him to blink all I have to do is swap the eye textures on the model. Also if it is possible is there a built routine so the animation is automated?

Cheers,
Myles Blasonato.

Look into documentation for actor.SetTexture(). I don't know what you mean by automated animation though?

By automated i think he means make the script work on a continuous loop. For example, you want the code that makes your character blink (by changing its textures) to constantly loop (and thus make your character blink periodically).

Remember you can also use WME sprites (i.e. animations) for textures, or even theora videos in the latest version.
