SPANISH VERSION

Hi! I'm Spanish and I'm interested in translate the WINTERMUTE Engine into spanish. I only need a txt file with the English words, sentences... or a "lng" file.

Hi, I believe the only thing worth translating is the documentation. But that would be a huge amount of work... Well, if you dare to go for it, let me know and I'll provide you with the source html files ;)

But one more question... Can i use a resource editor to translate the Project Manager strings??? (if i have your permission)

That's the only way i know to translate a program without the source code or the lang file.

Well, only partially. You could translate menus and dialogs that way, but some strings are hardcoded and cannot be changed using the resource editor (because I didn't expect someone would want to do that...). Another problem is that I'm releasing new builds of the tools quite often so your translated version would quickly become outdated. Some kind of .lng file would certainly be a better solution for translating the tools but it would need to be programmed and that would take some time :(

OK, for me is not a problem. I'll send you a translated version before i'll upload it (i'll translate the menus and dialogs). Thanks a lot. I'm trying to found a spanish WINTERMUTE comunity.

ya se que este hilo tiene mas años que la carracuca y que la gran mayoria no lo van a entender.

escribo para preguntarte si has abandonado la traducion de este fantastico programa por que estoy muy interesado en tenerlo en cristiano ya que no se nada de ingles.

Hola rahul, perdón por tardar en contestar, pero he estado muy liado trabajando fuera y tal.

El proyecto NO está abandonado pero sí está parado, ya que estoy yo solo y carezco de tiempo libre ahora mismo. Mi idea era retomarlo este año para comienzos o mediados de abril, ya que acabo un proyecto y tendré algo más de tiempo libre.

En cuanto actualice a la nueva versión lo comunicaré en este Hilo y en más sitios de este foro/web.
