What I am trying to accomplish is setting the game up so if played on a widescreen monitor, graphics display edge to edge without distorting the image. If the user is playing on a true 1024x768 monitor the left and right "extra" graphics will be cut off, showing only the active gameplay screen. The "extra" graphics is based on an image greater than 1024x768. And should I really do it this way, make the image larger?
